ANDROLOGY

In about half of the heterosexual couples who have difficulties getting pregnant, the cause of infertility is wholly or partly attributable to the man. Various factors can influence male fertility, and each cause of male infertility has specific treatment options. Dr. Vloeberghs has further specialized in andrology, a subdiscipline within fertility that focuses on male fertility.

As a fertility doctor, she offers professional guidance. She closely follows the latest scientific developments in fertility treatments and andrology, and is a pioneer in new treatment techniques. For her, the following pillars are essential for a successful process:

  • a personal approach
  • to guarantee quality care
  • to provide the necessary support

Dr. Vloeberghs is affiliated as medical director at Brussels IVF in the UZ Brussels. All fertility treatments are performed in collaboration with Brussels IVF.

An introduction to Brussels IVF and an overview of the treatments offered can be found on the Brussels IVF website.

Dr. Vloeberghs also pays attention to the male factor in fertility treatment.

TREATMENT

  • During an initial consultation, we will examine your specific situation and discuss the treatments that may be applicable to your situation.
  • We will also inform you about any preliminary tests (such as sperm tests, blood tests, genetic tests, scrotal ultrasound, etc.). Blood tests can be done in Dr. Vloeberghs' private practice. Additional technical tests are performed in collaboration with a nearby hospital or Brussels IVF.
  • An individual treatment plan will then be drawn up for you. Your partner will of course also be involved in this.
  • If a surgical procedure is indicated (e.g. to obtain sperm cells), this procedure will be planned in Brussels IVF with all the facilities of the Brussels IVF lab.
